I am bengali and I respect you Sir. I love your music, you have a great voice..The Tabla player who you use regularly, Enayet Hossain, its fantastic!! God Bless u
I am an ardent fan of Alamgir’s songs. Since childhood I have found his songs appealing and inaccordance with the taste of the time. However their unique quality is that while composed in a popular style they take their inspiration from the classical mode of singing. Beautiful song, but I wish the introduction by this not so very intelligent as well as elloquent man were not there to spoil it.
hello sir, its very encouraging to see people such as yourself bridge the gap that people create bangladesh and pakistan, through music… as muslims we should love each. As a bengali (singer born and brought up in london)i try to make the most of both my identities, which ive managed to do through bangla gaan and practice… and im always so proud to see the mark bengalis have made in west pakistan, be it shabnan (my aunty) robin ghosh, runa laila auntie, nadeem etc etc
East or West Alamgir is the best. I have not seen such a talented musician in my life. He has not only got a true musculine voice but can play almost all the instruments with authority and probably there never been a better guitarist than him in Pakistan. Love you since my childhood
ALAMGIR needs our prayers!
All Alamgir Fans! Alamgir is seriously ill and needs our prayers.
He has to go through a series of surgeries and treatments for his failing kidneys. May Allah soon give him robust health and strength and give him the energy to continue and pursue all his pending works.
He has been touching our souls through his lovely melodies since decades. If this singer doesn’t deserve our love, affection and PRAYERS at this hour then who else does?
Does ayone know where Alamgir is having his treatment. Please write down the hospital no so that i can get in contact to get some help for him INSHA ALLAH.
Dear Harris!
Thanks for your concern, i am giving you the personal number of the great singer. If someone can be of any help to him it’s the time.

Alamgir was born in 1954, in Bangladesh. He studied in Mirzapur Cadet College, Mymensingh, Bangladesh. He briefly studied in PAF Shaheen School, Dhaka, Bangladesh. At the age of around 15, he moved to Karachi in search of a future in the music industry. He had brought nothing else with him but a guitar and a passion to sing.
