it might be good if he had more “spotters” on the road to make way for him…why’s he do it? who knows? but thats asheville for ya! thats why i’m moving there! becase people, without any other reason than their own intuition “do things”…cuz ya can!
its interesting that he has the chain from the crank that he peddles connect to the the crank of the bottom bike. you would think that it would be more efficient to just run the chain straight to the rear tire. also, i’d be concerned with peddle strike with that crank down there especially with a bike of that hight. he must have a reason for it but i just don’t know
I ride tall bikes, but not that tall. They call those kinds SkyWalkers. Youtube search for ‘SkyWalker tall bike’ for more.
Concerning the connection of the chain to the crank on the bottom, its mostly done that way for novelty of the spinning pedals, however sometimes chain tension on tall bikes makes it so you have to look it through the bottom crank.
All of the SkyWalkers I have seen do it this way – I imagine for chain tension.

Asheville is so fucking tight.
But the question remains: how in the hell does he get off??? Park next to a tree and climb down?
