Thanksgiving in Asheville

I’ll be signing books at Malaprop’s in Asheville THIS SATURDAY at 1 PM. (55 Haywood St. in Asheville, NC) In which John gives thanks for nerds, nerdfighters, and his brother. And throws himself at a wall.

Wow. Your video is really clear. Whenever I upload videos onto youtube, it never comes out that clear. What did you do differently?

  13. senorsqueakydesk Says:

Willy is hilarious at the end. The other dog finally just had enough, but Willy kept coming back for more.

“It’s funny how sometimes living in a difficult moment in history makes you more hopeful not less.”

That is one of the most profound statements I’ve ever heard.
-runs off to Facebook to add it to my quotes-

But in all seriousness, you’re exactly right- it’s the same way that people in super difficult situations can become happier because they have so much less. They’re granted the opportunity to know exactly what they have and be grateful for it, instead of lamenting over what they lack.

  15. STYU274 Says:

You should do an “I’m not an octopus” video with many many people around the world throwing themselves at walls

  16. Quesadiia Says:

Well that settles it. John is definitely not an octopus. Although the only having 4 limbs was something of a hint. Oh, well. DFTBA, dude.

OMG YOU SAID MANDOLIN!! My friend Madi who introduced me to your books (and then eventually your youtube channel…) calls me Mandolin because that is apparently my musical instrument name…cuz my name, like hers, starts with Ma. But anyway, she named me mandolin and now I’m like in love with mandolins and I freaked out when my mom told me her friend has one and I freaked when you said mandolin cuz MANDOLINS ARE AWESOME! Btw, I want a mandolin. xD DFTBA, not that you ever could. :D
